Final Project Brainstorm

1) To continue experimenting with printing on different forms and colors of paper
2) To continue experimenting with the print press and transfer media
3) To incorporate, and the techniques of photo-manipulation we have learned, further into the transfer media process.
4) To experiment with the painterly qualities given to prints before pressing onto quality paper.
5) Add an aspect of layering into the pressing process. Using simpler images with more negative space.

Book Brainstorm

This semester, my classes focus on studying the natural environment. Classes such as GIS and Analysis of Aquatic Environments require an understanding of geographic place. My life at home also exposed me to this necessity. Sailing, skiing, and hiking, to name a few, are made possible with maps. I was inspired, therefor, after walking out of my GIS class, to take maps of places I have been or of areas important to me. I want to recreate them in an artistic manner such as photoshop that will allow me to highlight areas I feel are important while maintaining the spacial integrity of a map.
